Consideration of Adoption of Resolution No. 4695 Amending the <br /> 1995 General Fund Budget <br /> Don Brager, Finance Director, reported that Resolution No. <br /> 4695 amends the 1995 Budget by carrying forward from the 1994 <br /> Budget certain items for small projects and capital outlay. <br /> The total amount to be carried forward is $18, 627 . Brager <br /> explained the memorandums from various departments, which <br /> described in detail the items they wished to carry forward. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 4695 <br /> Amending the 1995 General Funds Budget <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS: (Continued) <br /> • d. Mayor Linke asked Representative Geri Evans to come before the <br /> Council and expressed his gratitude for all the work she has <br /> done for the City. <br /> Ms. Evans said she has enjoyed working with the Council and <br /> Staff and plans to continue being active in the community. <br /> She thanked everyone for their open communication and <br /> commented that she has enjoyed working with them. <br /> COUNCIL BUSINESS: (Continued) <br /> B. Consideration_of_AdQption saf Resolution No. 4692 Resolution <br /> Outlining Collection Policy for Delinquent Utility Bills <br /> Don Brager, Finance Director, reported that at the Council's <br /> request the City's collection policy for delinquent utility <br /> bills was reviewed. Formerly, owners of multifamily units, <br /> apartments, duplexes, and quad nomes were taken to <br /> Conciliation Court in an effort to collect delinquent utility <br /> bills. This policy has proved to be ineffective and costly to <br /> the City in terms of Attorneys' fees. It is desired to return <br /> to the collection policy which was in effect prior to that, <br /> whereby service would be discontinued on delinquent accounts <br /> after due notice. <br /> 4110 Brager said he had been notified by the City Attorney <br /> regarding this matter.
