CALL TO ORDER: <br /> The meeting was called to order at approximately 7:45 a.m. by Vice-Chairperson Rosemary Goff <br /> 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> • Motion/Second:Walther/Field to approve the minutes from April 22, 1999. <br /> Motion Carried 6 Ayes 0 Nays <br /> 4. SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 5. EDC BUSINESS <br /> A. "Economic Development Potpourri" <br /> Economic Development Coordinator Kevin Carroll provided the EDC members with a verbal <br /> update regarding: <br /> 1. the finalization of negotiations with Everest Development, the execution of the <br /> Development Assistance Agreement, and the commencement of construction of <br /> Building"N"; <br /> 2. the grand opening of the new Wynnsong 15 movie theater on May 19, 1999; <br /> 3. recent legislation affecting, or potentially affecting, economic development <br /> (EDC members were given copies of a summary prepared by the Association of <br /> Metropolitan Municipalities); and <br /> 4. the Business of the Year Awards Luncheon that was held at the Mounds View <br /> Community Center on June 3, 1999 -- at which the Mounds View Animal <br /> ■ <br />
