SUMMARY OF EDC INFORMATIONAL MEETING <br /> • JANUARY 9, 1997 <br /> HIGHWAY 10, SECTION 9 STUDY <br /> Members Present: <br /> Rosemary Goff, Commissioner <br /> Ron Schmidt, Commissioner <br /> Bev Tarhark, Commissioner <br /> Cathy Bennett, EDC Staff <br /> Others Present: <br /> Chuck Whiting, Mounds View City Administrator <br /> Pam Sheldon,Mounds View Community Development Director <br /> Gary Stevenson, Planning Commissioner and Parks&Recreation Commissioner <br /> Chuck Durand, Developer <br /> Towle Real Estate Representatives Roger and Julie <br /> SRF Presenters: <br /> Barry Warner and Patrick Peters <br /> • A project schedule was handed out by SRF and the base map information was reviewed. SRF <br /> have gathered preliminary information including zoning, land use and traffic data for the study <br /> area and have plotted this information on the base map. - <br /> Administrative information was reviewed: <br /> Some one-to-one interviews have been conducted and the response to the study is <br /> generally positive. <br /> January 23rd meeting date was discussed. It was decided that the meeting would be held <br /> in the evening to accommodate as much participation from residents as possible. Tt.t next <br /> informational meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd in the Council Chambers. <br /> The agenda will include a review of the preliminary goals and objectives of the study and a <br /> market overview from Towle Real Estate. SRF requested a list of planning,EDC and <br /> Parks&Recreation Commission members for their files. <br /> The regular January EDC meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd prior to the <br /> informational meeting. <br /> A Design Workshop was discussed and scheduled for Saturday, February 8th from 9- <br /> noon. Location was discussed. Cathy Bennett will review the possibility of holding the <br /> design workshop at Western Bank Lobby or in a vacant storefront at Moundsview .,quare. <br /> • The workshop is intended to encourage residents and businesses to informally review the <br /> study area and provide the EDC with ideas regarding its development.
