Mounds View Planning Commission September 5, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Goal 4: <br /> <br />No changes. <br /> <br />RESIDENTIAL: <br /> <br />Director Ericson pointed out the fantastic cross section of people on the Comp Plan Task Force; <br />therefore, bringing unique perspectives on housing. <br /> <br />Goal 1: <br /> <br />Commissioner Miller stated that policies g and h are similar and could be combined. She also <br />suggested referring to utilizing the Housing Replacement Program in this policy also. She asked <br />if a listing of all of the City’s housing programs should be added in. <br /> <br />Director Ericson stated that the City does have a list of available housing programs, but that it <br />may change over time. He suggested just referring to “the list of housing programs available” <br />instead. <br /> <br />Goal 2: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission agreed that Policy A should be reworded to reflect the current status. <br /> <br />Planning Associate Heller explained the affordable housing concept and how the City could meet <br />the requirement for 81 additional units indicated by the Met Council. <br /> <br />Director Ericson commented that as future redevelopment is planned, areas for affordable <br />housing could be identified. <br /> <br />Commissioner Gunn asked if Policy C was feasible. <br /> <br />Director Ericson replied he believed it is possible to incorporate this into development <br />agreements whereby Mounds View residents receive priority. <br /> <br />Goal 3: <br /> <br />No changes. <br /> <br />Goal 4: <br /> <br />No changes. <br /> <br />General discussion on Airport guidelines ensued. <br /> <br />
