Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />a. March 21, 2001 <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Johnson/Hegland. To Approve the March 21, 2001, Meeting Minutes as <br />Presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 6 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br />______________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />5. Citizens Requests and Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br /> <br />There were no resident comments on items not on the agenda. <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />6. Planning Case No. VR01-002 <br /> <br />Community Development Director Ericson noted this was a public hearing and discussion <br />concerning a variance request by the Gondeks to allow for a reduced side yard setback for an <br />addition at 5455 Adams Street. The Gondeks would like to add a 12x24 square-foot addition. <br /> <br />Director Ericson noted this variance would allow for a seven and a half foot (7 ½ foot) setback to <br />the property line on the north. He then noted that there is not room to expand forward and due to <br />the floor plan it is not feasible to expand off the back without sacrificing an existing bedroom. <br /> <br />Director Ericson noted that he had outlined the requirements that need to be met to grant the <br />variance in his staff report. He then briefly read through those requirements. <br /> <br />Director Ericson noted he had received a letter from the neighbor directly to the north in support <br />of the expansion that was included in packets. <br />Chair Stevenson opened the public hearing at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Chair Stevenson asked for a copy of the floor plan for the expansion and Mr. Gondek provided <br />the Commission a copy. <br />
