MOUNDS VIEid PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Village Hall <br />September 26, 1973 <br />Called to Order' 700 p.m. <br />PRESENT' Milton Stole, Phyllis <br />Bernard Feick, Robert <br />Robert ShelgUist. <br />MINUTES' Minutes of the August <br />Blanchard, James 8urggraff, Nancy Burmeister, <br />Glazer, George Gustafson, Batters Hake and <br />Commission Meeting were approved as read. <br />BUSINESS' <br />Review of Piot and Construction Plans for the Sely 135.5 feet of Lota 106 and <br />107. Spring Lake Park Hillview Addition for Crown Auto Stores, represented by <br />Mr. Charles Novak. Ma Novak investigated an entry off of Highway 10 into the <br />proposed development containing a Crown Auto Store with the Highway Department. <br />He wao Commission the ad Mr. Novak c along <br />the entry if <br />the Planning <br />an <br />for tho entire parcel owned by James Refrigeration. Taking into consideration the <br />specific'area designated for the Crown Auto Store, it was noted that the <br />items meet' with our ordinances' parking facilities, exit points, setbacks and <br />fencing of the back lot area. <br />h14P (Naake /Gustafacn) to approve Mr. Novak's request to develop Lots 106 and <br />patter or Lake 106 Hillview <br />1145 indicated in site plan dated 9/20/73 tbut traffic <br />with <br />the sane architectural specifications indicated in site plan dated 8/1/73 which <br />was presented at the August 22, 1973 Planning Commission Meeting. Approval of <br />the whole proposed development and traffic exits as Indicated in site plan <br />dated 9/20/73 is not given. 8 ayes 1 nay. (Bob Glazer opposed, he preferred <br />to see some endorsement by the Highway Department of all proposed exits and <br />entrances along Highway 10.) <br />A Major Subdivision (16 lots) by Keith Harstad for Proposed Greenfield <br />Plat No. 3 was not heard because no one appeared before this Commission to <br />represent him. <br />The Commission reviewed a plan Gordon Fedor presented reGardins a 20' x 40' <br />addition he wished to build on the back of Fedor's Market. The. addition +Quid <br />have the same stucco finish as the exist:.ng building,' It would be used <br />strictly for storage, not for retail, purposes. <br />M`P (Shelquist /Glazer) to approve the proposed 20' x 40' addition by <br />Fedor's Market. 9 ayes. <br />Erwin Miller, 5259 Jeffery Driv9, Lot 15, Block 3, Eigenheer Second Addition <br />asked for a Special Permit to build an oversized garage (816 square feet) <br />When question',ag Mr. Miller, it was discovered ono comer of the proposed addition <br />would be approximately 4' 10" from the lot line. This in itself could be varied, <br />but it was found that even this distance was a rough estimate. <br />hSP (Grazer /Buaaeister) that this variance and special permit be approved <br />subject to a confirmation by a eurvay and. that the setback not be less than <br />the 4' 10" as presented tonight. 9 ayes. <br />If the survey indicates anythiag less than 4' 10 then Mr. Miller can cone <br />back to.the Planning Commission for re- oonsideration. <br />
