The model fax planned <br />~sed is considerably smaller than a desk- <br />Motion/Seco d: Quick/Wuori to approve Item 1, the <br />purchase of two AT&T 3520 Facsimile machines from <br />Microfacts, Inc. at a cost of $2,238.00, to be <br />charged to ccount No. 100-4190-703. <br />5 ayes (0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmemb r Quick stated he felt with only one fax <br />machine, th re would be a line-up of employees <br />waiting to se it, and an officer would have to <br />stand there to watch for confidential transmittals. <br />He added he feels the machines will pay for themselves <br />in the long run. <br />Mr. Linke questioned whether the two personal com- <br />puters and r Item 2 could be tied into the mainframe. <br />Clerk/Admi istrator Pauley replied they could be, <br />with the p rchase of appropriate software. <br />Mr. Linke tated it was his understanding that the <br />idea beinn the purchase of the mainframe was for <br />networking of the system, and he does not feel the <br />mainframe ~s being utilized to its utmost. <br />
