Ms. Hren read pro- posed Resolu ion No. 2570. Mayor Hankne summarized the proposed resolution. Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, asked for a definition of solid waste. He pointed out very little is accepted now into. re ycling programs. Ms. Hren re iewed the criteria for solid waste. Clerk/Admin'strator Pauley explained the market has not kept up with the supply, and there is a problem with other ommunities not wanting to take waste from other areas, with yard waste being a problem in particular. Brad Gram, 809 Woodcrest Drive, asked if the price of paper is going to go up if people don't start recycling. Mayor Hankn r replied she didn't know for sure, and offered to rovide Mr. Gram with a number at the Met Council of someone who should be able to answer his questio s. She also asked if he would be willing to report b ck to the Council on what he finds out. Mayor Hankn r also pointed out how the City has gone to recycled paper for the City newsletter, and she encouraged veryone to use recycleables. Mayor Hankn r closed the public hearing and reopened the regular meetng at 7:31 PM.
