He added a 30-50~ <br />response is expected from the postcard survey, which <br />would be a good response. <br />Mayor Hankner explained there will be times for the <br />citizens to talk to the consultants, on an informal, <br />one on one basis. <br />Motion/Second: Paone/Wuori to approve the contract <br />with Short, Elliott, Hendrickson to perform the <br />New 10/610 traffic study proposed in their May 10, <br />1990 letter. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mr. Minetor reported this item had been discussed at <br />a special department head meeting and after review- <br />ing the five consultants available for the City Hall <br />space needs study, it was determined Alliance Corpo- <br />ration was the number one choice. They have had <br />good reference checks. The study will take <br />approximately seven weeks. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to authorize Staff <br />to negotiate an agreement with Alliance Corporation <br />to conduct a survey as to the City Hall space needs. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mr. Meyers stated it was his understanding the <br />Council might be interested in meeting with the <br />Metropolitan Airports Commission on their intentions <br />and plans for the Anoka County Airport. <br />Mayor Hankner replied the would, and suggested the <br />City initiate this through Senator Novak's office. <br />Attorney Meyers will handle the arrangements. <br />12. Consideration <br />of Selection <br />of Consultant <br />For City Hall <br />space Needs <br />Study <br />13. <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carried <br />Report of <br />Attorney <br />Mr. Meyers reported the Wetlands Task Force had <br />their first meeting last Wednesday, at which time <br />they reviewed the ordinance and the philosophy <br />behind both the ordinance and proposed changes. <br />The next meeting is scheduled for June 11, at 5 PM, <br />by which time everyone will have had an opportunity <br />to review the proposals. <br />Ms. Hren reported the new owner of the Dynamic <br />Designers project, who is present, has requested <br />the gutter requirement be left off in the parking <br />lot. The former owner had asked for a variance <br />to allow asphalt rather than concrete, which was <br />denied. <br />14. <br />Report of <br />Staff <br />Members <br />
