Clerk/Administra- <br />tor Pauley has since advised the Spring Lake Park <br />City Council would like to discuss the proposed <br />name change in a joint meeting of both councils <br />before making any decision. <br />Councilmember Paone stated he had no problem with <br />the Lions Club using signage to advertise what they <br />have done for the park. <br />Councilmember Blanchard questioned whether a <br />public hearing would be required. <br />Attorney Meyers replied it would not be legally <br />required by he would advise one be held due to the <br />amount of public involvement that has taken place <br />in the park over the years. <br />Mayor Hankner stated that in the interest of making <br />efficient use of everyone's time, she would be <br />interested in making the joint meeting a public <br />hearing. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Wuori to give Staff direction <br />to set up a joint meeting between the two councils <br />and explore the possibility of a public hearing at <br />the same time, to discuss the requested name change <br />for Lakeside Park. <br />5 ayes O nays <br />Mayor Hankner noted this item had been discussed by <br />the Council at the agenda session last week. <br />Mr. Minetor explained this would be final approval <br />of the actual agreement for services with Short, <br />Elliott, Hendrickson. Everything that has been <br />discussed in the past is reflected in this agreement. <br />The agreement is $2,000 more than the original <br />proposal as a postcard survey had not been included <br />originally. This proposal would be based on actual <br />hours worked.. <br />Mayor Hankner explained the intent of the traffic <br />study is to establish baseline information on <br />current and projected traffic flow. <br />Mr. Minetor reviewed the list of items that will <br />be done by SEH as part of this study. <br />Councilmember Blanchard questioned whether a tele- <br />phone survey was to be included.
