Mounds View City Council August 13, 1990 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Barb Haake, 3024 County Road I, stated she appreciated <br />the statement read by Mayor Hankner as it helped answer <br />many questions. She cited Minnesota law, Chapter <br />471.705 Sub. 1 C b, which defines special meetings, and <br />the section concerning emergency meetings. She felt <br />there were some unanswered questions concerning the <br />meetings held, which she hoped would be answered at <br />some point, as well as other questions which remain. <br />Mayor Hankner responded that under the data privacy <br />act, the Council cannot release information, but Mr. <br />Pauley can make a statement, if he chooses to. <br />Attorney Meyers stated the termination did not involve <br />an issue of dishonesty or moral turpitude. <br />Bi11 Frits, .8072 Long Lake Road, questioned what the <br />status or sequence of events was to require an <br />emergency meeting, and whether minutes were taken. <br />He also questioned whether Mr. Pauley resigned before <br />or after accepting the position in California. <br />Mayor Hankner stated there were two meetings, and <br />the Council relied on the advice of Mark Karney and <br />suggested all inquiries be directed to him. It <br />was agreed to discuss this further at the next <br />agenda session. <br />Dave Radermacher, 7421 Parkview Drive, thanked <br />the Council for taking the steps that apparently <br />had to be taken concerning the resignation of the <br />Clerk/Administrator. <br />Dan Snare, 5138 Long Lake Road, stated there are a <br />lot of rumors going around and someone should tell <br />what really happened. <br />Carol Golden, 7471 Parkview Drive, commended the <br />Council for the action they took, and she also <br />questioned who is leaking information out, which <br />is how rumors start. <br />
