<br />RESOLUTION 5541 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF A POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, members of the Police Civil Service Commission constisting of three members and <br />serving the Citizens of Mounds View; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based upon the recommendation of the Police Civil Service Commission and the <br />submission of three names for consideration the City Council shall cause the hiring of a police <br />officer to occur; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a police officer shall be hired by the city, and <br />begin a probationary period of one year before permanent status <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOVLED That the Mounds View City Council does hereby <br />authorize the hiring of Kirk L. Leitch. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Kirk L. Leitch will begin employment with the City of Mounds <br />View within 30 days. Salary will be administered as follows per union contract: <br /> <br />Effective January 1, 2000 2001-3% 2002-4% <br /> Starting Wage 2,684.64 2,792.03 <br /> (65% of Top Patrol Rate) <br /> After 6 months continuous service 2,891.15 3,006.80 <br /> (70% of Top Patrol Rate) <br /> After 12 months continuous service 3,304.18 3,436.34 <br /> (80% of Top Patrol Rate) <br /> After 24 months continuous service 3,717.20 3,865.89 <br /> (90% of Top Patrol Rate) <br /> After 36 months continuous service 4,130.22 4,295.43 <br /> (100% of Top Patrol Rate) <br /> <br />All Benefits will apply as determined by union contract and the City of Mounds View personnel <br />policy. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 12th day of March 2001. <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> Richard Sonterre, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> Kathleen Miller, City Administrator <br /> <br />
