Mounds View City Council February 12, 2001 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre requested that on Page 5 the word “County” be inserted in front of Highway 10 <br />to differentiate between the old and new 10. On Page 12 on the roll call vote change Sonterre to <br />an aye vote and Thomas to nay. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Thomas. To Approve the Monday, January 22, 2001, City Council <br />Minutes with the requested changes. <br /> <br />Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Accept Park & Recreation Meeting Minutes, December 13, 2000 <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney inquired as to why this item was on Council’s agenda. He also asked if <br />Council was merely acknowledging the Park and Recreation Committee had minutes or if <br />Council needed to be concerned with the content of those minutes. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre explained per city code the Park and Recreation Committee must share its <br />minutes with Council and the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty noted the Committee had discussed requesting funds for a City survey of <br />park needs and inquired as to whether that request will be discussed at an upcoming Council <br />work session. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre explained the issue was discussed in a previous work session where Council <br />directed the Committee to begin the survey process. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty inquired as to whether the City needed to look for a cost estimate for this <br />survey or whether the survey was in the preliminary stages. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Ulrich confirmed the survey was in the preliminary stages indicating it <br />still needs to be determined whether to proceed with the survey. <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney noted the agenda for the Park and Recreation Committee meeting had a <br />typographical error in the year. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Accept the December 13, 2000, Park & Recreation <br />Meeting Minutes as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br />
