<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5531 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF A NEW POSITION IN THE <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT – SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, members of the City Council consisting of members representing the <br />community and serving the Citizens of Mounds View; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based upon the recommendation of the Police Department and request by <br />the School District, the City Council shall cause the creation of a new position in the <br />Police Department to occur; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the position of school resource officer <br />shall benefit both the City and the School District, and that the School District is <br />committed to the concept; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby <br />authorize the creation of the position of School Resource Officer at Edgewood Middle <br />School and give authority to fill the position. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 26th day of February, 2001 <br /> <br />ATTEST: _______________________________ <br /> Richard Sonterre, Mayor <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />_______________________________ <br /> Kathleen Miller, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
