<br /> <br />RESOLUTION 5547 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A Resolution Clarifying the Definition of Seasonal Employee <br />in the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Attorney has recommended that the City <br />clarify its definition of seasonal employee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, amendments to the City of Mounds View Personnel Manual <br />must be made by resolution. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the definition of Seasonal <br />Employee in the Personnel Manual shall be clarified to read as follows: <br /> <br />Seasonal Employees shall be hired only for seasonal positions approved <br />by the Mounds View City Council and shall be retained for a specific <br />period of time as indicated in the letter of hire. A letter of hire will be <br />signed by each Seasonal Employee and respective Department Head at <br />the beginning of the employment relationship. The start and end dates <br />shall be based on the department’s staffing needs and the seasonal <br />employment relationship may be terminated prior to the end date if <br />necessary. <br /> <br />Seasonal Employees may be full- or part-time and are not entitled to City <br />benefits, a regular employment relationship with the City, or a seasonal or <br />regular position with the City in subsequent years.
