M:\MasterFiles\1999 thru 2010\2001\City Council\Council Packets\12-10-2001 Council\Item 07I--Reso 5674, Authorizing City Adm to Sign 12-03-01 Letter from MMKR.doc <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5674 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN THE <br />ENGAGEMENT LETTER WITH MMKR FOR THE PROVISION AUDITING SERVICES <br />FOR THE YEARS ENDING IN 2001, 2002 AND 2003 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statue 471.697 requires all cities with a population over <br />2,500 to submit an audited annual financial report to the state auditor office; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich, & Co., P.A. (MMKR) have <br />recently provided the City of Mounds View with special auditing services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to approach MMKR for a proposal to <br />provide auditing services; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MMKR has responded with a letter of engagement that outlines the <br />services which they will perform; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, that letter estimates the fees to be as follows: <br /> <br />• 2001 $22,400 <br />• additional in-depth review 4,600 <br />• 2002 22,900 <br />• 2003 23,500 <br />• GASB 2,000 to 6,000 <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View does hereby authorize the City Administrator to sign the engagement letter <br />dated December 3, 2001 with MMKR for the provision of auditing services for the years <br />ending in 2001, 2002, and 2003. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 10th day of December, 2001. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Richard Sonterre, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Kathleen F.
