Support compliance with the Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release entered into on May 15, 2000, by and <br />between the City of Mounds View, Metropolitan Airports Commission, and Metropolitan Council that limits the <br />runway length of the north-south runway to its current length of 4855 feet and prohibits the installation or operation <br />of an Instrument Landing System or Microwave Landing System on the north-south runway. Support continued <br />classification by the Minnesota Legislature of the Anoka County-Blaine Airport as a “minor use airport” and oppose <br />any proposals to expand the definition or characteristics of a “minor use airport”, including but not limited to runway <br />length, of minor use airports. <br /> <br /> <br />Economic Development: <br /> <br />1. Update and implement the City’s Economic Development Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />Intergovernmental Coordination: <br /> <br />1. Continue to work with other governmental agencies and private companies to more efficiently and cost <br />effectively provide desired city services. <br /> <br />2. Continue to participate in the North Metro I-35W Corridor Coalition. <br /> <br /> <br />Other: <br /> <br />1. Annually assess progress in implementing the comprehensive plan and to identify any issues that may require <br />plan amendments. <br /> <br />2. Formally review the comprehensive plan every five years to ensure that it remains current. <br /> <br />3. Develop more effective methods of communicating with Mounds View residents and businesses. <br /> <br />
