Compensation for Interim City Administrators/Managers <br />March 14, 2000 <br /> <br />City Policy <br />Lanesboro deputy clerk was paid an additional <br />$3,465.00 for four months. <br />Hutchinson policy so far unwarranted <br />Farmington Minimum salary for the position <br />Crystal 84,662 - 101,595 <br />85,000 (new city manager) <br />St. Paul Chief of Staff ($3017.89 to 3765.99 bi- <br />weekly) <br />New Hope policy so far unwarranted <br />Mankato The Assistant was compensated at <br />about 15% above her rate of pay (She <br />was at the top of the pay range). <br />Stearns County 4 1/2% or the minimum of the range, <br />which ever is greater. <br />Eagan policy so far unwarranted <br />Stillwater policy so far unwarranted <br />Brooklyn Park 5%-15% above current salary while <br />holding the interim position. <br />Division manager interim assignments <br />typically receive a 5-10% increase, <br />while a department director assignment <br />would receive a 10-15% increase. <br />They are careful to not increase the <br />interim salary to a level above the <br />normal salary range for the position. <br />Robbinsdale no set policy but would recommend the <br />starting "City Manager" rate of $6,087 <br />per month <br />Richfield At 110% of their current rate of pay . . <br />.the same as anyone working "out of <br />class". <br />New Brighton Same rate as manager <br />City of Shoreview (1993 the acting manager received $1000 <br />more a month. <br />Maplewood Totally negotiable. <br />
