Mounds View City Council February 28, 2000 <br />Regular Meeting Page 11 <br />Mayor Coughlin stated his E-mail address is DANC@ISD.NET. He indicated the City’s Website <br />lists all of the other Council Member’s E-mail addresses, as well as his address at City Hall. <br /> <br />An audience member inquired how much a bridge would cost. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin stated this information would probably be coming forward at the Council Work <br />Session next week. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin inquired if Council Member Marty, in keeping with what he presented before <br />the Council in June of 1999, would like to re-introduce his suggestion to discuss the pedestrian <br />bridge and related issues at an upcoming Work Session. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty stated he would like to re-introduce at a Work Session, on behalf of the <br />recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Commission of the previous year, that the Council <br />research the installation of a pedestrian bridge across Highway 10. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin stated he would second, as he had before, and inquired if there was consent of <br />the Council to add that item to the upcoming Work Session. <br /> <br />The Council unanimously agreed. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin requested City Administrator Whiting add this item to the Work Session <br />Agenda, and with the consent of the Council, he would request it be listed as the primary item. <br />He further requested Director of Public Works Ulrich work with Police Chief Clark with regard <br />to the suggestions that have come forward. He added that with the consent of the Council, he <br />would authorize the Director of Public Works to proceed with what needs to be done, within the <br />limits of the law. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Ulrich stated he would communicate with both MnDOT and Ramsey <br />County in this regard. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin stated he was a member of a prayer team that is out of Northwestern College in <br />Roseville, and they collectively prayed about this issue, in this time of need for the family, <br />friends, and acquaintances of this young man. He stated his thoughts and his prayers and those of <br />his family would continue to be with his family. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin recessed the meeting at 8:09 p.m. <br /> <br />The meeting reconvened at 8:14 p.m. <br /> <br />3.
