Set a Public Hearing for Monday, March 13, 2000, at 7:05 p.m., to Consider <br />a Resolution Approving an Interim Use Permit for Six Billboards at the <br />Bridges Golf Course. <br />E. Set a Public Hearing for Monday, March 13, 2000, at 7:10 p.m., to Consider <br />a Resolution on the Proposed Adoption of the City’s Business Subsidy Policy <br />under Minnesota Statutes, Sections 116J.993 through 116J.995. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin asked the Council if anyone would like to remove Items for discussion. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty requested Item C be removed from the Consent Agenda for further <br />discussion. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Thomason. To Approve the Consent Agenda for Items A, B, D, and <br />E as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty stated he would be unavailable on March 2, therefore, the Council could <br />proceed without him, or attempt to schedule another date. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin advised the Council could consider rescheduling the Council/Staff Retreat after <br />the Council Meeting, however, in light of the departure of the City Administrator, it was thought <br />that having a meeting prior to this would be good. He pointed out that if they could coordinate <br />an alternate date, that would be acceptable, however, the Council should approve this schedule in <br />the interim. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin stated that having spoken to Director of Public Works Ulrich, he believed it <br />would be a good idea to start the Retreat with a tour of the facilities at the Community Center, <br />now that the shower project has commenced. He explained that this would insure that everyone <br />is made aware of the issues that are present there, and would assist in the Council’s <br />understanding of this during the budget process. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Coughlin/Marty. To Approve Consent Agenda Item C, as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />9. RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR <br /> <br />Kimberly Oberg, 8340 Pleasant View Drive presented the Council with a survey of the residents <br />of their block and letters from her neighbor who was unable to attend, and Rosemary Lensing, <br />who was unable to remain for the entire meeting. She provided the Council with a map that <br />described alternatives to the proposal, and a map that depicts the current proposal as set forth by <br />Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, on behalf of Anoka County. <br />
