RESOLUTION NO. 5415 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE UPDATED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN RECOMMENDED BY <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND AUTHORIZING ITS SUBMITTAL TO THE <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND ADJACENT COMMUNITIES; <br />PLANNING CASE NO. SP-065-98. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, State Statutes (Minn. Stat. 462.355, Subd. 1a and 473.175-473.871) <br />require that the City of Mounds View update its Comprehensive Plan and submit it to the <br />Metropolitan Council for review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, State Statutes (Minn. Stat. 462.355, Subd. 1) states that the planning <br />agency shall prepare the comprehensive plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Code in Section 401.04 designates the Planning <br />Commission as the planning agency as authorized by State Statutes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has prepared a comprehensive plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing thereon with the <br />required notice published in the official newspaper of the city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended approval of the <br />comprehensive plan dated February 16, 2000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, State Statutes (Minn. Stat. 473.858, Subds. 2 and 3) require that the <br />updated comprehensive plan be submitted to adjacent communities and to the Metropolitan <br />Council for review prior to final adoption of the plan by the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View hereby accepts the comprehensive plan dated February 16, 2000 recommended by the <br />Planning Commission and authorizes staff to submit it to the Metropolitan Council and to <br />adjacent communities. <br /> <br />Adopted this 28th day of February, 2000 <br /> <br /> <br />_________________________________________ <br /> Dan Coughlin, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />____________________________________ <br />Charles S.
