10E - Approval of Resolution No. 5408 Approving a Request for a Comprehensive
Plan Extension: This necessary action is an oft repeated action of the past two years as
the City comes to the final steps for adopting the comprehensive plan. The Council can
expect to see the final draft of the comp plan within a month and will be asked to set a
schedule for its approval thereafter. This can be reviewed at the February work session.

10F - Consideration of Resolution 5401, a Resolution contemplating the Issuance of
a Wetland Buffer Permit for Jamie Sharp, 2551 Ridge Lane: The Council will recall
from Monday evening that Mr. Sharp had not produced evidence that he indeed owns the
property. During the week, he has produced that verification. The issue then becomes
one of the City’s stance on granting the buffer permit. Jim Ericson memo outlines the
facts. Staff recommendation will be to approve the permit base on those facts.
Regardless of the outcome of this decision, the Council may again want to consider the
philosophical underpinnings of this code requirement for future applications.

EDA Meeting – Business Items
5A - Consideration of Resolution No. 00-EDA-120, Appointing Economic
Development Commission Members: Aaron Parrish’s report outlines the vacancies on
the EDC and prospective appointments.

5B - EDA Vice President and EDC Liaison Appointments Staff Report
Consideration of Resolution No. 00-EDA-121, Appointing EDA Vice President and
EDC Liaison Appointments: This is the board’s standard action to designate the vice
president and liaison.

That’s it for the meetings on Monday.
