1005.10 1005.11 <br /> <br /> <br />(2) Within fifty feet (50') of each unit entrance, at least one fire extinguisher with a rating of not less <br />than 2A-1OBC. <br /> <br />b. There shall be provided and installed in every multiple dwelling at least one fire extinguisher in the furnace <br />room. In laundry and/or storage rooms that are separate from the furnace room, at least one additional fire <br />extinguisher shall be required unless the enforcement officer, as defined in subdivision 1005.03(.2) of this <br />Chapter, determines, in writing, that the construction of the building and the location of other fire extinguishers <br />in the building make this requirement unnecessary. Fire extinguishers required by this subparagraph shall have <br />a rating of not less than 2A-1OBC. <br /> <br />Subd. 5. Hazardous Storage: No storage of any kind shall be allowed under stairways. An enclosed area under a <br />stairway must be cleaned out and permanently sealed off. Individual storage lockers must be provided with <br />locking devices so that said lockers may be kept locked at all times. (1988 Code ∋93.12) <br /> <br /> <br />1005.11: ROOMING HOUSES: No person shall operate a rooming house or shall occupy or let to another for <br />occupancy any rooming unit in any rooming house, except in compliance with the provisions of every subdivision of this <br />Section. <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Water Closet, Hand Lavatory and Bath Facilities: <br /> <br />a. At least one water closet, lavatory basin and bathtub or shower, properly connected to an approved water and <br />sewer system and in good working condition, shall be supplied for each four (4) rooms within a rooming house, <br />wherever said facilities are shared. All such facilities shall be located within the residence building served and <br />be directly accessible from a common hall or passageway to all persons sharing such facilities. Every lavatory <br />basin and bathtub or shower shall be supplied with hot and cold water at all times. <br /> <br />b. Every water closet, flush urinal, lavatory basin and bathtub or shower required by subdivision 1a above shall <br />be located within the rooming house within rooms which: <br /> <br />(1) Afford privacy and are separate from the habitable rooms. <br /> <br />(2) Are accessible from a common hall and without going outside the rooming house. <br />
