Page | 2 MN STATE DEMOGRAPHIC CENTER JANUARY 2015 <br />Purpose <br /> <br />The Commissioner of Administration, as part of strategic planning, is to issue an annual report to the Governor <br />and chairs and ranking minority members of the State Senate and House of Representatives committees with <br />jurisdiction on state government finance, that provides demographic information to assist public and elected <br />officials with long-term management decisions. This report, prepared by the MN State Demographic Center, <br />focuses upon the increasingly important role that migration will play in population change in Minnesota, and <br />potential implications, to fulfill the expectations of Minnesota State Statutes 4A.01 and 4A.11.
