Mounds View City Council <br />~'.egular Meeting <br />Page Two <br />April 13, 1992 <br />accept the resolution, but Mayor Linke stated that this resolution <br />would be given to the Mounds View High School Girls Basketball Team. <br />2. Mayor Linke read Resolution No. 4215 Commending the Irondale Basketball <br />Association Sixth Grade Girls' Traveling Team and presented the same <br />to the team and their coaches. <br />3. Rick Wriskey, Forester for the City of Mounds View, presented the City <br />with the "Ten Year Tree City USA Award" given by the Arbor Day <br />Foundation in that the City had to meet certain criteria. In addition <br />to this award the City of Mounds View will receive a Ten Year Tree City <br />USA-flag and Ten Year Tree City USA signs. <br />RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: <br />Michael Janssen, 2440 Clearview, asked if the Council was looking into <br />residential parking only on Clearview Avenue. <br />Mayor Linke responded that parking signs had just been placed on the other <br />streets and that the Council had not heard if there were any problems on <br />^learview. The Council will not take any action until they are informed <br />hat there are problems. Mayor Linke asked Mr. Janssen how the parking was <br />now that the signs were up. <br />Mr. Janssen indicated that Clearview had received some overflow parking, but <br />not a major amount. Mr. Janssen stated that he had brought in a petition <br />signed by his neighbors previously and that he and his neighbors on <br />Clearview felt that residential parking was the way to proceed. <br />Mayor Linke reassured Mr. Janssen that the residential parking is not a dead <br />issue and is still under advisement by the Council. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, read the proposed Consent Agenda. <br />Mayor Linke asked if any member of the Council desired to remove any item <br />from the proposed Consent Agenda. <br />No items were removed. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Quick to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />PUBLIC HEARINGSā¢ <br />There were no public hearings scheduled for this evening. <br />
