The Medtronic complex, one mile to the north of County Road 10, and the <br />TCAAP site, ½ mile to the east, will introduce between 15,000 and 20,000 new jobs in or adjacent to <br />Mounds View. Not only will the job growth be significant, but it will occur in locations where few if <br />any jobs currently exist. Therefore, new retail/service centers and housing will be desired within <br />close proximity to these areas as well as demand from other businesses that want to locate near this <br />emerging concentration of employment. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regional Shopping <br /> <br />Mounds View lies in close proximity to six <br />major regional commercial centers. The <br />closest is Northtown Mall, located <br />immediately to the northwest. In addition, <br />three other regional shopping centers <br />(Rosedale, Brookdale Center and <br />Maplewood Mall) and the Minneapolis and <br />St. Paul downtown business districts are all <br />within a 10 to 20 minute drive from <br />anywhere in the City.
