Only the required repairs will be charged by the <br />contractor. <br />Councilmember Trude asked if the agreem nt with the contractor <br />was to buy only the services that were eeded even though the <br />bid was on all of the potential needs. <br />Ulrich affirmed, clarifying that each item was bid <br />individually and only items required will be paid for. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Quick to Award Wellhead Maintenance <br />Project to Low Bidder, Thein Well Company, to be funded from <br />Water Account #700-4122-515 <br />V, E: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Ulrich added that there is not a change order contingency on <br />this bid, so if the repairs do exceed the approved amount, <br />staff will be required to obtain approval from the City <br />Council for additional funds. <br />t <br />REPORTS <br />1. Report of Councilmembers: <br />Councilmember Quick: No report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard: No report. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported that she seriously injured <br />her knee while skiing last week. <br />Councilmember Trude reported that she had met with the <br />Police Chief and reviewed the various ordinances on <br />licensing of tobacco sales in the City of Mounds View and <br />will present the summary of that review to the Council at <br />the February 6 Work Session. <br />• <br />Report of Mayor Linke <br />a. Reported that last Saturday he met with the Mayors of New <br />Brighton, Shoreview and Arden Hills to discuss the Arsenal <br />property and design a plan to divide the property into <br />sections, some of which would be used for recreational <br />purposes.- He cited a large open area of the property that <br />could be used for ball fields and soccer fields. The Mayors <br />will be in Washington in March and will, hopefully, be able to <br />discuss the plans with legislators at that time. <br />
