He
handed out copies of the Charter provisions and briefly reviewed
Chapter 8 of the City Charter which states all of the public
improvement processes that the City must follow in performing
public improvements and levying assessments. Mr. McCarty pointed
out the steps to be followed for the petitioning process.
Charles Ross 5142 Eastwood Road, related that he has a neighbor
who sprays birch trees within approximately three feet of the
property line. Nearly forty percent of one of the trees hangs over
the property line. Mr. Ross expressed concern regarding liability
in the event someone on his property could be affected by the spray
from his neighbor. He would like to see an Ordinance requiring
permission to be granted by surrounding neighbors for anyone to
spray hazardous chemicals.
Mayor Linke directed staff to check into the matter and furnish a
response to Mr. Ross.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
To Consider Non-Intoxicating Malt Liquor License for "The Bridges"
Mayor Linke opened the public hearing at 7:15 p.m.
