Mounds. View City Council Page 13
. Regular Meeting June 26, 1995
Councilmember Hankner indicated her support for tabling this
matter to a future meeting to allow additional time for
review.
David Janke, 8428 Eastwood, asked if residents of Mounds View
really know what this amendment will cost them. He asked if
the Council has informed them in any way, and if Council can
indicate what the cost will actually be. He objected to
setting a flat percentage for all projects.
Mayor Linke explained the Council is unable to determine the
costs without first knowing what the actual project will
involve. Mayor Linke explained there have been several
newspaper articles and it has been on cable television four
times.
Councilmember Hankner stated Mr. Janke's comment about getting
the message out is a good point. She expressed her
frustration with trying to do that and indicated support for
tabling the matter and attempting to get accurate information
out so there are not so many ill feelings when the decision is
made. She pointed out this is a difficult decision the
Council will have to make.
William Werner, 2765 Shorewood Road, asserted part of the
reason for misinformation is the "flaky games the Council
