Meeting called to order by the Chair, Charlotte Forslund, at 7:35 P.M. <br /> New Charter Commission members were introduced and welcomed. <br /> New Members: Term expiring 11/1/1990 <br /> Lloyd L. Bardwell <br /> Charlynn (Blackstone) Robertson <br /> Susan Hankner <br /> Robert E. Toborg <br /> Arlene Werdien <br /> Reappointments: <br /> Jean E. Miller <br /> Judith Rowley <br /> II. Roll Call <br /> Absent: Hodges - Excused Johnson <br /> Rowley - Excused Nygaard <br /> Illig Warren <br /> III. Approval of Minutes of December 23, 1986 <br /> Motion by Charlynn Robertson, seconded by Bill Werner to accept the <br /> minutes of 12/23/86, as written. Passed unanimously. <br /> IV. New Business <br /> 1. The commission made note that, on February 10, 1986, the City Council <br /> of the City of Mounds View, by Ordinance No. 404, amended Chapter 4, <br /> Section 4.02 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of Mounds View, per <br /> the request of the Charter Commission. This Ordinance amended the <br /> original Charter changing the filing dates for city elective office <br /> from "no earlier than forty-two days, to fifty-six days", and, "nor <br /> later than twenty-eight days, to forty-two days" before any municipal <br /> election. This Ordinance, therefore, being Amendment Number (1) to <br /> the Home Rule Charter of the City of Mounds View. <br /> (Copy of Ordinance No. 404 is attached.) <br />
