Page 7 <br />Apri122, 1996 <br />Mounds View City Council <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke opened the Public Hearing at 7:49 p.m. to Consider the Formal Introduction of Ordinance <br />No. 579, Setting Sewer Rates and Surcharge Effective April 1, 1996. <br />Ms. Tatarek explained that this Ordinance would be increased to $45.50/REC (Residential Equivalent <br />Connection). <br />Mayor Linke closed the Public Hearing at 7:51 p.m. - <br />MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Quick to Approve the Formal Introduction of Ordinance No. 579, Setting <br />Sewer Rates and Surcharge Effective April 1,1996. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br />. A. Consideration and Formal Introduction of Ordinance No. 580, Amending Chapter 306.05 of the <br />Municipal Code Entitled, "Vacations and Holidays". <br />Mr. Whiting, Clerk Administrator, explained that approval of this Ordinance would add a floater holiday <br />for city employees, of four hours on Christmas and New Years Eve. In years when the eve falls on a <br />weekend, the hours may be utilized anytime during the year contingent upon supervisor's approval. <br />Ms. Trude stated she understood that floater would only apply to those holidays falling on a weekday. She <br />did not understand that this would include a 13th holiday. Therefore she would prefer to delete the last <br />sentence of Subdivision 1. (a.). <br />Mayor Linke stated this was also his understanding. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hankner/Trude to Formally Introduce Ordinance No. 580, Amending the Municipal <br />Code of Mounds View by Amending Chapter 306.05 entitled "Vacations and Holidays", <br />striking the last sentence of Subdivision 1.(a.). <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Trude to set the Public Hearing for May 13, 1996. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />B. Consideration to Authorize Purchase of Finance Software/Hardware Package from TR Funds. <br />• Ms. Tatarek, Interim Finance Coordinator, explained that staff has reviewed several software/hardware <br />package options and recommends T. R. Funds for the city's computerized fmancial software package. <br />She explained that this was a budgeted item for 1996. <br />
