Page 13 <br />August 12, 1996 <br />Mounds View City Council <br />Mayor Linke asked that Mr. Whiting direct staff to put together a policy for Storm Damage Clean Up and <br />present it to the council at the next work session. <br />REPORTS: <br />Report of Council members: <br />Trude: Ms. Trude stated she met with staff members and Mr. Pastor regarding the easement for the <br />Pedestrian Bridge. He has presented a list of items that he wants and staff is working on coming up with <br />some type of plan to work with him. She will report back at the September work session. <br />Hankner: No report. <br />Blanchard: No report. <br />Quick: Mr. Quick asked that a time be scheduled for the Council to sit down and discuss issues relating to <br />the Bel Rae facility. <br />Report of Mayor Linke: Mayor Linke reported that he and Chuck Whiting were part of the 1st annual <br />Mayors Golf Tournament which provided an opportunity for all the cities and school districts to get <br />together. <br />Report of Administrator: Mr. Whiting noted that Joyce Pruitt has submitted her resignation effective <br />August 30, 1996. They are working on getting a replacement for her position. He also noted that at the <br />work session this evening, the council talked about conducting a survey in regard to the Bel Rae faciltiy. <br />He would like council direction. <br />MOTION/SECOND: TrudeBlanchard to authorize staff to finish developing the survey according to <br />council guidelines and that the funding come from Contingency Funds. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke asked that the council authorize staff to advertise for the Planning Associate position. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Quick to authorize staff to begin advertising and make recommendations to <br />council regarding the replacement for the Planning Associate position. <br />VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke stated the next Council Meeting will be on Monday, August 26, 1996. The next Council <br />Work Session will be on September 3, 1996. <br />Mayor Linke adjourned the meeting at 9:28 p.m. <br />R ectfully submitted, <br />ara D.
