Introduction of Ordinance 592, An Ordinance Relating to Manufactured Home Park Closings <br />and Amending Title 1000 by Adding a New Chapter 1011 of the Mounds View Municipal Code. <br />Mayor Linke explained that this Ordinance sets up some requirements to be followed if and when a mobile <br />park owner plans to close the park. This ordinance is very similar to one in Bloomington and helps to <br />protect the owners of the mobile homes within the park. <br />Ms. Sheldon noted that the Public Hearing for Ordinance 592 will be held in December. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to Approve the Introduction of Ordinance 592, An Ordinance Relating <br />to Manufactured Home Park Closings and Amending. Title 1000 by Adding a New Chapter 1011 of the <br />Mounds View Municipal Code and to waive the reading. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />D. Consideration of Resolution No. 5052, Authorizing Staff to Begin Negotiations for a Temporary <br />Lease Arrangement with Children's Home Society of Minnesota for space in the Bel-Rae facility. <br />Mr. Whiting explained that the Children's Home Society is interested in space to accommodate a child care <br />center at the Bel Rae facility. They are currently housed in the Spring Lake Park High School, but will <br />need to vacate the space they currently occupy. He noted that this was discussed at the last work session <br />and Resolution 5052 will authorize staff to begin negotiations for a temporary lease arrangement. <br />MOTION/SECOND: BlanchardlTrude to approve Resolution 5052, Authorizing Staff to Begin <br />Negotiations for a Temporary Lease Arrangement with Children's Home Society of Minnesota for space in <br />the Bel Rae facility. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke stated would like the council to consider Resolution No. 5054, A Resolution Establishing a <br />Community Center Task Force. He proceeded to read Resolution No. 5054. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Trade to approve Resolution No. 5054, Establishing a Community Center <br />Task Force. <br />VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />E. Consideration of Resolution No. 5051, Approving the City's Formal Written Objections to the <br />. Metropolitan Airports Commission's Proposed Draft Long-Term Comprehensive Plan Update dated <br />July 1996 for the Anoka County-Blaine Airport. <br />
