Thomas at 7: 03 p.m. at Mounds View City Hall . 2 . Roll Call - Present - J. Thomas , R. Stigney, J.Miller, M.Amirahmadi , D.Braaten, D.Coughlin, D. Freimuth, B.Jahnke, D.McCarty, M. Sandback, C . Schaefer, B.Werner, Sr. Absent - B.Doty, D. Sach Le, W.Mori 3 . Approval of Minutes - Motion M. Sandback, second B. Werner to accept Resolution 2001-01-- A resolution setting the regular meeting schedule for July, 2001 through June of 2002 . Motion D. Coughlin, second D. McCarty to amend the resolution to strike "submitted to the City Administrator for posting" to read "The following dates are hereby posted to comply with the Minnesota Open Meeting Law. " The resolution to be adopted as of July 12 . UNANIMOUS APPROVAL Changes to the minutes under New Business , 2nd paragraph - Chair Thomas felt the issue was too complex and requested the motion be provided in writing. In section 5 - Freimuth is spelled incorrectly. MINUTES ADOPTED UNANIMOUSLY 4111 Approval of Agenda- Change the agenda by replacing the first 20 minutes to "discuss Resolution 2001-01 " . Change the date of the agenda from June 14 to July 12 . Motion D. McCarty, second D. Coughlin to move the agenda as amended . UNANIMOUS APPROVAL 4. Citizens comments from the floor - David Jahnke, 8428 Eastwood Rd . commented about the meeting of last month. 5 . Reports of the Chair - None 6 . Reports of members - Motion D. Coughlin, second D. McCarty to add to the next meeting a discussion on human rights . Roll Call Vote - 7 Ayes , 5 Nays MOTION PASSED Motion B. Jahnke, second R. Stigney to postpone the meeting on human rights until a later date . Motion B. Jahnke, second R. Stigney to amend the motion to have a special meeting on August 23 at 7 p.m. to discuss human rights . 7 Ayes , 5 Nays MOTION PASSED A 5 minute recess was called . 7 . Unfinished Business - Motion D. Coughlin, second C. Schaefer that the draft letter be considered and sent to the City Council as a response to the question of our interpretation of the Charter regarding Chapter 6, Section 6 .02 Subdivision 3 . • D. Coughlin read the letter for the benefit of the audience. J. Thomas asked D. Coughlin to rescind the motion. Coughlin aleclined to rescind the motion.
