M.V. Charter Commission Minutes of 10/25/79 - (cont'd. ) (2) <br /> • VII. With reference to Item XVI. of the 10/11/79 minutes, N. Loeding reported that <br /> he obtained the signatures of Jim Wills and Curt Schmidt on the Charter Draft. <br /> Dave Notaro did not sign nor did Carol Ziebarth. Loeding stated that Notaro <br /> did not sign because he did not think he would have a chance to thoroughly stud,' <br /> the completed charter. Loeding stated, to date, he had not heard from Notaro. <br /> Loeding was questioned by a commission member as to why C. Ziebarth did not <br /> sign the charter, since she was at the meeting of 10/11/79 and had voted in <br /> the affirmative when the charter was voted on for approval. Loeding stated he <br /> felt this question should be asked of C. Ziebarth and answered by her directly. <br /> VIII. Bill Doty reported that the approved and signed Charter Draft of October 11, 1979, <br /> was presented to both the clerk-administrator and the City Council at the council <br /> agenda meeting of October 15, 1979. <br /> IX. The chairman stated that any activities by commission members for or against <br /> the charter should be considered their own personal activities and not represent <br /> the charter commission in any way. <br /> N. Loeding made a motion that the charter commission members not participate <br /> in the election campaign for or against the charter in an official capacity. <br /> Seconded by Bob Beutel. Vote: Unanimous. <br /> • X. Chairman Doty advised that there will be a special informational meeting held <br /> by the Charter Commission at the Bel Rae Ballroom on Thursday, November 15, 1979, <br /> at 7:30 P.M. At this meeting residents will be able to ask questions concerning <br /> the charter, and will be able to make comments regarding the charter. The meeting <br /> will be highly publicized and a notice put into the New Brighton Bulletin in, <br /> order to ensure as much attendance by the residents as possible. <br /> C. Ziebarth arrived at 8:30 P.M. Chairman Doty reviewed with Ziebarth what <br /> had transpired at the meeting prior to her arrival. <br /> B. Beutel excused from meeting at 8:47 P.M. <br /> XI. N. Loeding and R. White volunteered to proofread the tear sheet of the charter <br /> for publication. <br /> XII. Motion made by D. Lykke, seconded by W.
