Mounds View City Council June 11, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />1 <br />2 Council Member Meehlhause commented SuperAmerica would not be able to sell beer, wine and <br />3 hard liquor at their location until they remodel their store. City Administrator Zikmund <br />4 commented the applicant was aware of this stipulation. <br />5 <br />6 Mayor Mueller questioned if tobacco would be sold in the liquor store, separate from the <br />7 convenience store. Roger Burton, SuperAmerica representative, reported this was the case. He <br />8 explained that he has been operating five convenient stores with a liquor store for the past year. <br />9 <br />10 Mayor Mueller asked when the renovations would be completed at SuperAmerica. Mr. Burton <br />11 indicated the hope would be to have this space operational yet this year. <br />12 <br />13 Council Member Gunn inquired where parking would be located. Mr. Burton stated the gasoline <br />14 fueling area may be remodeled in order to allow for additional parking to be gained at the front of <br />15 the store. <br />16 <br />17 Council Member Meehlhause questioned if the building would have an addition or simply be <br />18 remodeled. Mr. Burton commented the building would be remodeled and no addition was <br />19 necessary due to the large amount of square footage the convenient store already had. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8957, <br />Northern Tier Retail LLC dba Super Spirits located at 2640 County Road I, New Off -Sale <br />Intoxicating Liquor License and Cigarette/Tobacco License. <br />Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />H. Consideration of Resolution 8964 Approving the Renewal Mounds View <br />Business Licenses Expiring June 30, 2018 (Non -Liquor). <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the renewal of all Mounds View <br />Business Licenses (non -liquor) expiring on June, 30, 2018. He reviewed the list of businesses on <br />Appendix A, noting several updates that included removing Krupenny and Sons and RJ Riches <br />and also verifying that Little Caesar's Pizza was in compliance. With those changes, City <br />Administrator Zikmund recommended approval of Resolution 8964, including Appendix A. <br />Mayor Mueller asked what the differences were between permitted and licensed businesses in the <br />
