To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8773, <br />Authorizing Advertisement for Hiring a Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department. <br />Mayor Mueller thanked staff for rebidding this project, noting she was pleased with the final bid <br />results. <br />Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />N. Resolution 8979, Approving the Purchase and Installation of Electronic <br />Locks for the Public Works Facility, Phase I. <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council approve the purchase and installation of <br />electronic locks for the Public Works Facility. He discussed the quote received noting the same <br />vendor would be used as was utilized at City Hall and the Community Center. Staff <br />recommended approval of the purchase for Phase I of the electronic lock installation at the Public <br />Works Facility noting this project would be funded from the Special Projects Fund. He <br />commented on how the proposed system would ensure the numerous doors in the building were <br />locked and secure. <br />Mayor Mueller questioned if the expense for this project would be spread out over two years. <br />Public Works Director Peterson reported this was the case. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. REPORTS <br />36 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />37 <br />38 Council Member Gunn stated the Tri City meeting would be held on Tuesday, June 121h at 6:30 <br />39 p.m. at Fire Station 3. <br />40 <br />41 Council Member Bergeron commented he attended the North Suburban Cable Commission <br />42 meeting last Thursday. He announced this group has hired a new Executive Director, Dana <br />43 Healy, and noted she would begin work with CTV on Monday, July 16th. He also discussed the <br />44 cuts that would be made to the municipal assistance program due to budget shortfalls. He noted <br />45 that the City from now on may have to pay for the broadcast of the Festival in the Park parade. <br />
