From: Shataia Stallings
To: Jon Sevald
Subject: Mounds View Apartment Proposal/Crossroad Pointe development
Date: Tuesday, June 12, 2018 2:17:24 PM
Can you tell me what types of apartments INH Properties/Trident Development plans
to build? Luxury or Affordable or Mixed?
I am against adding additional apartment buildings to our area. We already have
plenty of apartment buildings in the area. If we are to build any residential properties
it should be town homes or single family homes. Mounds View is a very desirable
area, but not many homes are available for sale.
The mounds view school district is over student capacity. Adding apartments with the
possibility of more children per unit isn't going to help. Has the city communicated
with the district about this as well?
I am also not in favor of another convenience store. Our city is only 4 miles and we
already have Holiday, Super America, and BP, all along Mounds View Boulevard.
We also have two on County Rd I (one open, and another closed, but I have a strong
feeling the one that is closed could open up again as a convenience store).
Would INH consider building condos or town homes instead? Maybe something similar to the
development that is built off Hwy 8 in New Brighton?
Could INH and the City think of other ideas for use of space other than a convenience store?
Something that our city doesn't already have? Medical building? Yoga studio, a bunch of
small offices for small business owners to rent,
a fitness workout center with a large pool?
Thanks,
Shataia
