Page 4 <br />August 10, 1998 <br />Mounds View City Council <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/ ------ to table the motion until the Stanton Survey and Hay Study <br />are completed to see what impact these evaluations will have on the affected salaries. <br />Motion failed because it was ruled out of order. <br />Quick stated a position's salary was based on the number of points that the Stanton Survey and <br />Hay Study gave the position's duties and not on what the job position is called. <br />McCarty stated that the Organization Chart was an administrative matter recommended to the <br />Council by the City Administrator and the Council would be erroneously micro managing the <br />City's business if it was not to approve the recommendation, he added. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Koopmeiners/Quick to call the question. <br />McCarty called Stigney out of order. <br />VOTE: Ayes - 4 Nays - 1(Stigney) Motion carried <br />• McCarty called Sti ey out of order a ain. <br />~ g <br />Stigney called for a point of clarification on his motion to table. <br />McGarry stated the motion died due to a lack of a second. <br />McGarry called for the vote on Resolution 5257. <br />VOTE: Ayes - 4 Nays - 1(Stigney) Motion carried <br />B. Consideration of Community Center Interior Furnishing Bids. <br />Ulrich gave his report as follows: <br />Bids were opened on Friday August 7, 1998. Four bids were received with the Design Wise bid <br />being disqualified because their bid was incomplete. Staff is recommending accepting the low <br />bid submitted by Corporate Express at $92,574.96, including bid alternate A. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Koopmeiner to accept staff s recommendation to awazd the Interior <br />Furnishings Contract to Corporate Express for a total, not to exceed, $92, 574.96 including bid <br />alternate A. <br />
