Nays - 1. Motion passes. <br />Carrie Schultz stated the fire department would like provisions <br />regarding the job of building inspections. One would be a three- <br />year contract. In order for the program to work, three years are <br />needed to recoup the training costs. The city would pay the fire <br />department a maximum of $40,000 a year, $5,000 due January 1, the <br />remaining amount to be billed as needed, not to exceed $35,000 <br />throughout the year. They will be taking over the building <br />inspections and plan review that our current building inspector <br />does now and all of the duties and responsibilities involved. <br />The City Attorney recommended a standard clause. Consideration <br />of basic contract provisions to protect your interest in terms of <br />liability issues. <br />CALL MSRTING TO ORDER: <br />Mayor Couglin calls the meeting of Economic Development Authority <br />• to order. <br />ROLL cALL: <br />Mr. Whiting reads roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: President Couglin, Vice President Stigney, <br />Commissioners Quick., Marty, Thomason. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Marty: Approve resolution 5301, the <br />appointments. of 1999 Economic Development Commissioners, which is <br />Lynn Thomason presently. Gary Quick is the alternate. <br />Entertain the motion to adopt the resolution 5301. <br />Ayes - 5. Nays - 0.
