Mounds View City Council July 9, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br />1 Council Member Meehlhause asked if the traffic advisory committee would be made up of staff <br />2 members or resident volunteers. <br />3 <br />4 Mayor Mueller stated she would like to see this group made up of resident volunteers. <br />5 <br />6 Council Member Bergeron stated he would support 75% and 500 feet for the stop sign permitting <br />7 process. The Council supported this recommendation. City Administrator Zikmund commented <br />8 staff would revise the language and would report back to the City Council at a future meeting. <br />9 <br />to Mayor Mueller asked if the Council had to wait for this policy to be in place before placing stop <br />I l signs along Groveland Road. City Administrator Zikmund explained this was a decision that <br />12 would have to be made by the City Council. <br />13 <br />14 Council Member Gunn supported all stop sign requests following the proposed permitting <br />15 process, which would include data collection and an engineering review. City Administrator <br />16 Zikmund commented he could get the permit posted on the City website in order for the request <br />17 to be made by the residents along Groveland Road. <br />18 <br />19 Mayor Mueller requested a petition template also be posted on the City's website. <br />20 <br />21 City Administrator Zikmund provided the Council with an update on the City Code violations <br />22 occurring at Tires N More and noted citations had been delivered. <br />23 <br />24 City Administrator Zikmund reported the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf had moved into Mounds <br />25 View and would be opening tomorrow. <br />26 <br />27 City Administrator Zikmund reviewed the upcoming worksession agenda with the Council. <br />28 <br />29 City Administrator Zikmund reported he would be meeting with the City Administrator from the <br />30 City of Maple Grove to discuss Age Friendly Communities. <br />31 <br />32 City Administrator Zikmund explained he would be attending a scheduling hearing next <br />33 Wednesday regarding a disability matter for a Mounds View Police Officer. <br />34 <br />35 City Administrator Zikmund stated a resident has requested a partial refund for the mowing of <br />36 their property in Mounds View. He requested how the Council wanted to proceed with this <br />37 matter. <br />38 <br />39 Mayor Mueller stated she did not support the City using tax dollars to cover half of this expense. <br />40 <br />41 Council Member Bergeron explained he could support the City paying for half of the expense <br />42 given the fact this homeowner would be a future Mounds View resident. <br />43 <br />
