Mounds View City Council July 9, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br />1 Council Member Meehlhause asked if these same additions would be made to the Greenfield <br />2 Tennis Court. City Administrator Zikmund commented the City was only proposing the <br />3 additions for the Groveland Tennis Court. <br />4 <br />5 Council Member Meehlhause noted several grammatical changes to the Resolution. <br />6 <br />7 MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8987, <br />8 Approving a Change Order for the Groveland Tennis Court Rehab Project as amended. <br />9 <br />10 Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />11 <br />12 9. REPORTS <br />13 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />14 <br />15 Council Member Gunn reported the Guns N Hoses Softball Game would be held on Saturday, <br />16 July 21" at 12:00 p.m. at City Hall Park. <br />17 <br />18 Council Member Meehlhause reviewed his upcoming meeting schedule and noted he would be <br />19 attending a Twin Cities Gateway Board meeting on Tuesday, July 17th. He explained he would be <br />20 attending an NYFS Human Resources Committee meeting on Wednesday, July 18th and on <br />21 Thursday, July 19th he would be attending an NYFS Executive Committee meeting. <br />22 <br />23 Mayor Mueller reported the Festival in the Park Committee would be meeting next on Tuesday, <br />24 July 17th at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. She explained volunteers were still needed to assist with the <br />25 car show and parade. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Mueller encouraged the public to visit story time at Ernie and Janette's at the corner of <br />28 Groveland and Arden every other Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. throughout the summer. She explained <br />29 a story time would be held on Tuesday, July 10th <br />30 <br />31 B. Reports of Staff. <br />32 1. Administrator Memo Regarding Traffic Control Devices <br />33 <br />34 City Administrator Zikmund explained residents along Groveland Road were requesting <br />35 assistance from the City to reduce the speed of traffic along Groveland Road. He reviewed <br />36 several recommendations from staff and noted the Council could consider a stop sign permitting <br />37 process. He commented on how this process would be followed by the City and requested <br />38 feedback from the City Council. <br />39 <br />40 Mayor Mueller asked how often a traffic advisory board would meet on a yearly basis. City <br />41 Administrator Zikmund explained this group would only meet if a stop sign request or other <br />42 traffic concern was brought to the City. He indicated the City of Blaine has created a traffic <br />43 advisory group. <br />44 <br />
