Mounds View City Council November 15, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting Page 23 <br />his understanding of the motion, anything over $5,000 would require a plan check fee, however, <br />nothing under $5,000 would. <br />Council Member Marty stated he was attempting to follows staff's recommendation with his <br />motion. <br />Community Development Director Jopke clarified that staff was proposing that a plan check fee <br />would be required on any commercial project over $10,000, and specific projects such as <br />garages, garage additions, house additions, and decks would require a plan check fee, regardless <br />of their valuation. He explained, staff does not propose there be a threshold for those projects. <br />Council Member Marty inquired therefore, if commercial projects should remain at $10,000. <br />Community Development Director Jopke advised that all commercial projects require a plan <br />check fee. <br />Council Member Marty inquired what the $5,000, and $10,000 thresholds pertain to. <br />Community Development Director Jopke suggested that perhaps the threshold should be stricken <br />in entirety. <br />Council Member Marty stated it appeared the resolution might require to be re-written. <br />Community Development Director Jopke stated the exhibit should be re-written. <br />Mayor Coughlin suggested, rather than attempting to determine the specific details of the <br />proposal at this time, the matter be continued until the next meeting. He stated a motion has <br />been made and seconded, therefore, it would be in order to move that the consideration be <br />postponed until the next meeting. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Thomason. To Postpone Consideration of Resolution No. 5382 <br />Until the November 22, 1999 City Council Meeting. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />C. Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 636, an Ordinance <br />Amending Title 900, Chapter 906, Section 906.01, Relating to the Water Test <br />Requirements for Households with Well Water. <br />Mayor Coughlin stated this consideration has previously come before the Council, and there <br />have been no changes to the ordinance. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Thomason/Marty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Second Reading <br />and Adoption of Ordinance No. 636, and Ordinance Amending Title 900, Chapter 906, <br />Municipal Water System, of the Mounds View Municipal Code by Amending Section 906.01, <br />Subdivision 2(B) Testing Required; Water Quality. <br />1.
