For all usual and customary legal services for the City in accordance with past practice established between the <br />City and the city attorney, the city attorney agrees to perform such services pursuant to a monthly retainer in <br />the amount of $2,000.00. <br />B. For all other matters not included within the monthly retainer amount, the city attorney agrees to perform such <br />services in accordance with past practice established between the City and the city attorney pursuant to the <br />hourly rates as follows: $165.00 to $195.00 per hour for litigation, $195.00 per hour for general city <br />development projects, including real estate, cable and telecommunication related matters, and employment <br />matters, and $230.00 per hour for reimbursable/developer pass through matters (e.g., projects for which the <br />City is to be reimbursed for legal costs by a developer). At the beginning of each new year, the above - <br />referenced rates shall increase by an amount equal to two percent (2%) rounded to the nearest whole dollar <br />amount. <br />C. Rates for bond work would be charged in accordance with our regular governmental rates for this type of work. <br />These are the same rates that I will be generally charging to other clients that I serve as the city attorney. <br />I have thoroughly enjoyed both being involved in the growth and development of the City and working with the city <br />council and staff members.
