Mounds View City Council November 13, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated the City Council would not be meeting on Monday, November 19th. She <br />wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported she would be attending the North Metro Mayors meeting on Wednesday, <br />November 14th. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller commented on Tuesday, November 20th there would be a neighborhood meeting <br />regarding Long Lake Woods at 6:30 p.m. at the Mounds View Community Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Thursday, November 29th she would be attending the LMC Regional <br />meeting, along with Council Member Gunn, Councilmember Meehlhause and City Administrator <br />Zikmund. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported the City received a letter from Lisa Baker with the Ralph Reeder Food <br />Shelf thanking the community for providing over 180 volunteers and much needed food items. <br />She thanked the community for their generous support and encouraged Mounds View residents <br />to continue to give generously. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Police Chief Harder updated the Council on a Veteran’s Day event he attended at the Bel Ray on <br />Sunday, November 11th. He stated he enjoyed mingling with the crowd in attendance and <br />thanked the community for their involvement. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer stated he was pleased to report the Minnesota Government Finance <br />Officers Association has awarded the City of Mounds View with the Certificate of Achievement <br />for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 16th year in a row. Mayor Mueller congratulated <br />Finance Director Beer and the entire Finance Department for their efforts. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson updated the Council on several projects being completed in the <br />City. He noted the tennis courts would be closed out by the next Council meeting. He reported <br />the Business Park North project was almost complete. He reminded the public to not push or <br />place snow onto City streets. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund reported INH was ready to meet with the City Council and was <br />hoping to meet with the Council in a Closed Session on Monday, December 10th at 5:00 p.m. He <br />explained INH would have site renditions for the Council to review at this meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported the Council would be holding a Truth in Taxation meeting on Monday, <br />December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund discussed the updates that have occurred on the City’s website. <br />
