MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1053-16 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO TITLE 1100 <br />OF THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CODE PERTAINING TO BREWERIES, BREWPUBS, <br />MICRODISTILLERIES, TAPROOMS, AND COCKTAIL ROOMS; <br />PLANNING CASE: SP -194-15 <br />WHEREAS, City Staff has recommended that amendments be made to the zoning code related to <br />malt liquor manufacturing; and <br />WHEREAS, The Planning Commission agrees with the City Staff recommendation to allow <br />breweries, brew pubs, microdistilleries, taprooms, and cocktailrooms. <br />WHEREAS, City Staff has amended Chapter 1102; 1113; 1114; 1115; and 1116 of the Mounds <br />View Municipal Code by adding the underlined material and deleting the strieken material as <br />follows (footnotes are for reference, and not for publication): <br />Chapter 1102: Zoning Rules and Definitions <br />Section1102.02: Definitions <br />Subd. Brewery, Micro: A facility with a capacity to manufacture less than 15.000 <br />barrels of alcoholic and nonalcoholic malt liquor a year. This definition does <br />not include a brew pub.' <br />Subd. Brewery, National: A facility with a capacity to manufacture over 250,000 <br />barrels of alcoholic and nonalcoholic malt liquor a year. This definition does <br />not include a brew pub.2 <br />Subd. Brewery, Regional: A facility with a capacity to manufacture between <br />15,000 and 249,999 barrels of alcoholic and nonalcoholic malt liquor a year. <br />This definition does not include a brew pub 3 <br />Subd Brew pub: A brewer who also holds one or more retail on -sale licenses and <br />who manufactures fewer than 3,500 barrels of malt liquor in ayear, at any <br />one licensed premises, the entire production of which is solely <br />1 City of Anoka, Chapter 74; Article I.
