Mounds View City Council December 10, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 9 <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated this past weekend he was in Bemidji where he attended the 1 <br />Bemidji staff Christmas party. He said hello from former Mayor Jerry Linke, who was in 2 <br />attendance at this event. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Meehlhause wished everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy 5 <br />New Year. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Mayor Mueller reported December 14th was the deadline for matching contributions at the Ralph 8 <br />Reeder Food Shelf. She encouraged the public to consider making a donation to the food shelf 9 <br />on or before December 14th. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Mayor Mueller indicated she would be visiting MedTronics on Tuesday, December 11th with the 12 <br />City’s Building Official. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Mayor Mueller stated the Minnesota Women in Government would be meeting next on Friday, 15 <br />December 14th. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Mayor Mueller reported the Comprehensive Plan Committee will meet next on Tuesday, 18 <br />December 18th. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Mueller explained the Mounds View Business Council will meet on Wednesday, 21 <br />December 12th at The Mermaid. She thanked Council Member Meehlhause and staff members 22 <br />for representing the City at these meetings. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Mayor Mueller stated the North Metro Mayors would meet next on Wednesday, January 16th. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mayor Mueller thanked Ray Ravard with the Sun Focus for his excellent work reporting 27 <br />activities occurring within the City of Mounds View. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Gunn stated the Mounds View 15 Theater would be holding a free showing of 30 <br />the Polar Express on Saturday, December 22nd and Sunday, December 23rd at 10:00 a.m. 31 <br />Attendees are asked to bring a food donation and noted all donations would be given to the Ralph 32 <br />Reeder Food Shelf. 33 <br /> 34 <br />1. Discuss the Need for Second Meeting in December. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mayor Mueller reported typically the second meeting in December has been canceled. However, 37 <br />there may be some Council business that needs to be addressed prior to the end of the year. She 38 <br />explained a tentative meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, December 27th at 6:30 p.m. She 39 <br />noted an EDA meeting would be held prior to the Council meeting, if needed. 40 <br /> 41 <br /> B.
