Mounds View City Council December 10, 2018 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:22 p.m. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 7:22 p.m. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Kate Becker, 2200 Mounds View Boulevard, explained she was an attorney representing the new 5 <br />owner for The Mermaid. She reported the buyer would be purchasing 10 bowling centers in the 6 <br />metro area. She did not anticipate any significant changes would occur at The Mermaid. She 7 <br />noted all appropriate food licenses have been applied for. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Gunn asked if the mermaid would be coming back. Ms. Becker stated she 10 <br />would pass this question along to the new owner. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Mayor Mueller indicated the community had much love for the mermaid and would love to 13 <br />welcome her back to Mounds View. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9044, 16 <br />Approving the Transfer of an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Mayor Mueller noted the date missing within the Resolution should be filled in as the date of 19 <br />closing which was December 14, 2018. 20 <br /> 21 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 22 <br /> 23 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9043, 24 <br />Approving the Transfer of the Restaurant and Bowling Licenses. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mayor Mueller noted the date missing within the Resolution should be filled in as the date of 27 <br />closing which was December 14, 2018. 28 <br /> 29 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 30 <br /> 31 <br />C. Resolution 9039, Approving the 2019 City Council Meeting, Council/Staff 32 <br />Retreats and the Town Hall Meeting Dates. 33 <br /> 34 <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the 2019 City Council meeting, 35 <br />Council/Staff retreats, and the Town Hall meeting dates. He reviewed the proposed schedule in 36 <br />detail with the Council, noting the January retreat date may be postponed. He requested feedback 37 <br />from the Council on the Town Hall meeting date. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Council consensus was to hold the Town Hall meeting on Monday, April 15th. 40 <br /> 41 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause.
