Mounds View EDA January 7, 2019 <br />Special Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />7. EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. Consider Resolution 19-EDA-319, Resolution Electing and Appointing <br />Officers to the Mounds View Economic Development Authority (EDA). <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Authority elect and appoint officers for 2019 <br />noting this was required per the EDA’s bylaws. <br /> <br />President Mueller stated it would be appropriate for her to continue in the role as President. The <br />EDA was in agreement. <br /> <br />Vice President Gunn reported she was willing to continue her service as EDA Vice President. <br /> <br />Commissioner Meehlhause commented he was willing to serve as the EDA Treasurer. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hull indicated he could continue to serve as the EDA Secretary. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 19- <br />EDA-319, Electing and Appointing Officers to the Mounds View Economic Development <br />Authority. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Public Hearing and Consideration of Resolution 19-EDA-320, Resolution <br />Approving the Sale of EDA Owned Land at Crossroad Pointe. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the EDA hold a Public Hearing and adopt a <br />Resolution approving the sale of land at Crossroad Pointe. He explained the EDA has been in <br />negotiations with a developer for quite some time. He noted the EDA has agreed to move <br />forward with the sale of the three parcels within Crossroad Pointe and noted the developer was <br />proposing to construct 127 market rate apartments. He reported the land would be sold for $1.35 <br />million. <br /> <br />President Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:25 p.m. <br /> <br />City Attorney Riggs discussed the terms of the agreement in further detail with the EDA.
