RESOLUTION 9090 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A CAMERA INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR THE <br />SANITARY SEWER DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has many responsibilities and one is to <br />efficiently maintain the infrastructure within the sanitary and storm sewer systems for the <br />City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has and continues to invest large amounts of money for the <br />sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council understands the need for Public Works to inspect the <br />sanitary sewer and stormwater infrastructure in a safe and efficient manner in order to <br />make recommendations for repairs and/or replacement to extend service life; and <br />WHEREAS, the original equipment is from 2004, and over the years has required <br />numerous repairs; and <br />WHEREAS, the van, that houses the televising system, creates employee safety <br />issues because it is designed that the split side doors open into the traffic lane; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff solicited quotes for new televising equipment, software <br />upgrades and a service van from the Minnesota Cooperative Purchasing Program (CPV) <br />Vendor—MacQueen Equipment <br />Envirosight Rovver Camera, Software upgrade, Van build out: $162,086.00 <br />Vendor - Midway Ford 2019 Transit Van $ 33.801.92 <br />Sub Total $195,887.92 <br />Less Trade -In $ 14,000.00 <br />Total $181,887.92 <br />WHEREAS, the total cost of the replacement camera inspection system is <br />$181,887.92. The 2019 Vehicle and Equipment Fund has $100,000.00 budgeted for this <br />purchase; and <br />WHEREAS, In order to purchase this unit a budget adjustment of $80,139.92 is <br />required; and <br />
